Herring genuine disadvantage

Bah 1: Can't get through to the London Coliseum to get ISIHAC tickets. Allegedly, they went on sale from 9:30 this morning. Many redials, all engaged.

Bah 2: Apparently I can't work from home today because my help is needed testing. But the frigging test system doesn't work.

Bah 3: Fallen off the tobacco wagon. And no, smoking doesn't make me feel any better. Need to get this properly sorted before July 1st. Considering an Allen Carr clinic appointment on the basis that a) it costs less than a month's fags and b) money back if it doesn't work. Anyhow, I will start (or stop) again tomorrow.

Really, really need some time away from the office. Going mental here.

No comment from management as to how the change of ownership of $prestige_british_car_manufacturer (back into British hands) will affect us. Maybe the contract runs for a while.

Saw some of the opening game of the Cricket World Cup. West Indies looking pretty good. Pakistan looking a bit poor - apart from Malik. Canada are playing Kenya today and Australia are playing Scotland. Quality stuff.

To celebrate the world cup, I have located an MP3 of Soul Limbo by Booker T and the MGs and have made it my ringtone. Hooray.

In discussion with komet on IRC last night, was playing around with a solo piano rendition of Bombtrack by RATM. The intro works well, but after that it lacks something. Might try Purple Haze - that could work. Did try Seven Nation Army but I have trouble with that whole 3 against 4 thing.

That was a real acronym ?
One of Radio 4's better offerings. I recently redecorated the house to Radio 4, it was all I could stand for long periods without having to channel surf.

I have just realised who it is you remind me of. You're are the dead spit of Christopher Skase, former Australian entrepreneur and fugitive.

Fags by nebbish (4.00 / 1) #4 Wed Mar 14, 2007 at 08:18:39 AM EST
I was planning on giving up properly on July 1st, but I've just realised this will mean I miss out on the actually very enjoyable and pull-tastic ritual of standing outside the pub having a fag.

For this very reason, I'm sure there must be a market for fake cigarettes. Anyway to provide encouragement for your quitting efforts, remember the following:

not dying of lung cancer > pulling

(It's my own self interest, if you died, nobody would be left to provide my supply of Yorkshire ghetto 4s).
