So far we have two submissions. I'm happy to announce that 256 has upped the file size limit, so you can do longer pieces if you'd like.
Since I was part of a choir concert this past weekend, I snipped one piece out of the massive, 2-hour long, MP3 file the conductor snagged with a gizzy attached to her iPod (and to her music stand). Go have a listen. This is an elegy composed by William Byrd on the occasion of the death of his friend, mentor, and business partner (they had a monopoly on music publishing in England) in 1585, performed live by Coro Stella Maris this past weekend.
We also have an entry from lb008d, Aztec Ceremonies, for contrabassoon and piano. Yummy stuff.
We're off to NCia for a wedding this weekend, described with duly amused horror elsewhere. Today, it's hotter here than there. I rather hope it stays that way. Last May we were there for a wedding (on the beach) on a day when it was about 95 in the shade (and we were in the sun).
Poor puppy's off to "camp" again shortly. He seems to like it there OK, but he's soooooo ready to come home again at the end.
Maybe I can catch up a bit on reading and writing and stuff. And, one hopes, come back to work refreshed and ready to go at it again.
Anyway, I'm out.
