I've been with out internet the last couple weeks. Charter Cable went up on it's price for it's bundled package, again. So we checked into Verizon. Direct TV, phone, and DSL for under $100 for the first six months. Decent savings so we switched since we really only use the internet at home for email. Direct TV was set up, then the phone. Then a guy came out to turn on the DSL, but guess what, the phone lines in my area won't support DSL. Verizon's solution was to offer dial-up. Naturally the Direct TV really isn't through Verizon, so we're locked in for two years unless we want to pay $500 in disconnect fines to break our contract. So we can't canel that, I'm also not interested in giving up NFL Network. So we went to Charter for internet service. So now we have TV, phone, and internet from three different companies again, and will pay almost the same amount as we would have paid for Charter's bundle. I know remember why we ditched Verizon as a phone service to begin with. Same reason we got rid of Verizon Wireless as a cellular service.
